Three natural ingredients: latex, cotton and wool

Most mattresses sold today contain almost no natural materials. We all spend more than 120 nights a year on our mattresses, so we think it's better to be safe than sorry. Latexpedic mattresses use just three natural ingredients.

  • Latex. The milk, or sap, of the rubber tree, in your choice of natural Talalay or certified organic Dunlop.
  • Cotton. Luxurious, soft cotton quilting on both sides.
  • Wool. A natural fire barrier, with no added chemicals.

Natural Talalay or certified organic Dunlop latex

Natural Talalay latex

Our natural mattresses use 100% pure natural Talalay latex. The 8-step Talalay process gives the industry's highest ratings for breathability, pressure relief, consistency and durability, with a light, airy and resilient feel. Each core is date stamped, serialized and rated.

Certified organic Dunlop latex

Our organic mattresses use certified organic Dunlop latex, grown without pesticides, insecticides or chemical fertilizers, with quilting of GOTS-certified organic cotton and wool. The Dunlop process produces a denser, firmer foam, and our latex comes from Vietnam.

Three models and five firmness levels

We have three latex mattress models on display: the 7-inch, the 10-inch and The Ultimate 12-inch, which uses three layers of latex in the firmness you choose. We also make a pocketed coil mattress with 3 inches of latex on top and bottom for people who prefer the feel of coils.

We have one of the best selections of 3-motor fully electric hi-lo hospital beds on display. Most of our models look like an adjustable bed, and the hi-lo height makes getting in and out of bed safer for you and your caregiver. Choose a 7, 9 or 11-inch latex mattress to go with it.

Our story: the miracle mattress

Henry Kraus, founder of Electropedic and Latexpedic mattresses

Henry Kraus founded Electropedic in 1964 to manufacture adjustable beds. On a business trip through Europe in 1987, he stayed at a small hotel in Switzerland and slept on the most comfortable mattress he had ever found. He woke up refreshed and without his usual back pain.

When he couldn't find anything like it in the United States, he brought several back to study, then set out to duplicate and improve how they were made. That was the beginning of Latexpedic. Today his sons and grandsons still design and handcraft every mattress, sold through our two factory showrooms in Burbank and Phoenix.

Are Latexpedic mattresses really factory direct?

Yes. We make, sell, deliver and guarantee our own mattresses from our factory showrooms in Burbank and Phoenix, so there's no middleman or department-store markup.

How long does a Latexpedic mattress last?

Every mattress carries a 20-year limited warranty. Because it's all latex from top to bottom, completely reversible and quilted on both sides, you can flip it for even wear over many years.

What if the firmness isn't right?

Each mattress has a zipper cover, so the latex layers can be changed. Within ten days of delivery you can exchange for a different firmness for $89.

What's the difference between Talalay and Dunlop latex?

Talalay latex goes through an 8-step process that produces a lighter, more consistent and airy feel. Dunlop latex is denser and firmer. Our certified organic mattresses use organic Dunlop latex with organic cotton and wool.

Do you carry hospital beds as well as adjustable beds?

Yes. We have 3-motor fully electric hi-lo hospital beds on display, including Flex-A-Bed, Dawn House, Supernal and Tuffcare, as well as Electropedic and Ergomotion adjustable beds. We also rent hospital beds.

Do you deliver in Los Angeles?

Yes. We deliver and set up across Los Angeles from our Burbank showroom at 907 N. Hollywood Way. Call 800-233-7382 to schedule.

Try our mattresses, adjustable beds and hospital beds in person. The drive from central Los Angeles is usually 20 to 40 minutes, depending on traffic.

  1. Take I-5 north, the Golden State Freeway.
  2. Follow the signs for SR-134 west, the Ventura Freeway.
  3. Exit at Hollywood Way and head north about one mile. We're half a block south of Magnolia Boulevard.

From Hollywood and the Westside

  1. Take US-101 north, the Hollywood Freeway.
  2. Exit at Barham Boulevard and follow it north over the hill into Burbank, where it becomes Olive Avenue.
  3. Turn north on Hollywood Way. We're half a block south of Magnolia Boulevard.
