Josephus' 10 Messianic Principles

  1. God is the Perfection of Virtue and Righteousness.  This is God's Way.  This is God's Will.  This is the true nature of God.

  2. Man is created in the Image of God (Virtue and Righeousness.)  Be a Good Person. (Kind, Honest, Fair, Charitable, Pious, . . . )

  3. The Kingdom of God is within each individual.  (because we are made in the image of God, we understand to follow his Ways and Will)

  4. Divine Providence.  Those who walk in God's Way will be reward by Divine Providence, Guidance and Good Fortune.

  5. The Wrath of God.  Those who do not follow in God's Way, God will Judge and Punish.  Fear God.

  6. The 10 Commandments as the Path of Righteousness.  (Josephus wrote the following, because he was not "allowed" to write the sacred 10 commandments verbatim, as they were written by the hand of God.)

The first commandmet teaches us, That there is but one God, and that we ought to worrship him only; the second commands us not to make the image of any living creature to wo worship it; the third, That we must not swear by God is a false matter; the fourth, That we must keep the seventh day, by resting from all sorts of work; the fifth, Tat we must honor our parents; the sixth, That we mst abstain from murder; the seventh, That we must not commit adultery; the eigth;, That we must not be guilty of theft; the ninth, That we must not bear false witness; the tenth, That we must not admit of the desire of anything that is any other's.

  7. Universalism.  God Judges all Human Beings the Same.  God is the Father of all people;  We are all children of God.

  8. Nation's and People's Are Judged.  God Judges all Nation's and People's.

  9. Piety.

  10. Thankfulness and Appreciation. Thankfulness and Appreciation to God is probably as important as Prayer.  Josephus emphases that Good Fortune should be attributed to God, not to  thyself.
