Support & comfort
Every mattress tries to balance two jobs that pull against each other: cushioning your shoulders and hips, and holding your spine straight. Springs push back unevenly. Memory foam gives way and traps heat. Natural latex does both jobs at once, and it keeps doing them for decades.
Latex is a solid, elastic core. It compresses exactly where you press on it and pushes back in proportion. Heavier areas like the hips get firmer support, and lighter areas like the waist and neck get filled in, so your spine stays in line.
Shoulders and hips sink in gently without ever hitting a hard bottom. Less pressure means fewer tosses and turns, better circulation and deeper, less interrupted sleep.
Memory foam slowly molds around you and leaves you in a hollow. Latex springs back instantly, so changing positions is effortless and you sleep on the mattress rather than in it.
Latex has an open-cell structure, and our Talalay cores are pinholed and ventilated, so air moves through the mattress. Wrapped in cotton and wool, it stays far cooler than petroleum-based foams.
Latex is made from the sap of the rubber tree, not from foam chemicals. It resists sagging and body impressions far longer than other materials, which is why we can back ours for 20 years.
Latex has no coils to squeak or shift. It absorbs motion, so a restless partner is far less likely to wake you.

Latex is the milky sap of the rubber tree, Hevea brasiliensis. We turn it into mattress cores in two ways, and we quilt every one in cotton and wool.

Natural mattress
The 8-step Talalay process makes the most consistent latex in the world. The liquid latex is poured into a mold, vacuum-expanded, flash-frozen, gelled and then vulcanized. The result is a lighter, more elastic foam with an even, airy cell structure from edge to edge.
Talalay has the industry's highest ratings for breathability, pressure relief, durability and consistency, and it is naturally hypoallergenic. Every core is date-stamped, serialized and rated.

Organic mattress
For people who want the purest possible bed, we build with Dunlop latex certified to the Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS), which requires at least 95% certified organic latex. It comes from rubber trees grown without pesticides, insecticides or chemical fertilizers, and our supply comes from Vietnam.
In the Dunlop process, the latex is poured into a mold and baked. That makes a denser, firmer, very supportive core. The quilting on our certified organic mattresses uses cotton and wool certified to the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).

Craftsmanship
Most mattress companies give you about half a mattress. They put the good material on top and fill the rest with cheaper foam. We do the opposite.
Every Latexpedic mattress is designed and handcrafted, one at a time, by the same family business that has built sleep products since 1964.
Three models · Four firmnesses each
All three models are on display at our factory showrooms. Each comes in Soft, Regular-Firm, Extra-Firm and Ultra-Firm, so there are twelve combinations to try.
Our lowest profile, and a natural match for adjustable beds and 3-motor hi-low beds. It flexes with every position, keeps the bed height comfortable for getting in and out, and still gives you latex from top to bottom.
The everyday favorite. It has more latex for deeper pressure relief and a fuller feel on a platform, foundation or adjustable base, while staying easy to handle and flip.
We think it may be the most comfortable mattress in the world. It has three layers of latex, each in the firmness you choose and each in its own zippered chamber, so the feel can be fine-tuned now or changed years from now.

Plush, cradling pressure relief for side sleepers, lighter bodies and anyone with tender shoulders and hips. Many people prefer softer latex as they get older because it is easier on the joints and circulation.

Our story · Since 1964
Henry Kraus began manufacturing adjustable beds in 1964. In 1987, on a business trip through Europe, he stayed at a small boutique hotel in Switzerland and woke up refreshed and without his usual back pain. He stayed a second night to be sure. It happened again.
Back home, he found that nothing like that all-natural latex mattress was sold in the United States. So he went back, learned where it was made, shipped several home, and set out to duplicate the process and improve on it. That was the beginning of Latexpedic.
Today his sons and grandsons run the business. Every Latexpedic mattress is still designed, handcrafted and sold through our two factory showrooms, in Burbank and Phoenix.
